REPENTANCE

"Repent" comes from the Greek word METANDEO (Strong's GK 3340) meaning "To think differently".
This means that we think differently about our way of living in sin.
We determine to change and live as Jesus Christ teaches.
We make a confession to the world of our changing attitude and way of living. This is our confession of faith.
We believe with our heart and confess with our mouth our new allegiance to Christ.
Our confession is important as shown by these scriptures

• Romans 10:9
  "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
  
• Romans 10:10
  "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
  
• Philippians 2:11
  "And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
  
• I Corinthians 12:3
  "Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost."
  

• Matthew 10:32
  "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven."
  
• Matthew 10:33
  "But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven."

  "Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:"
